Instructor Bio – Jarrod Brigham
My martial arts journey started as a young teenager when I trained in ATA for two years and earned my purple belt. I returned to martial arts when I became a student at Elkhart Martial Arts in November 2019, and I currently hold the rank of 2nd Gup in Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo.
I have been coaching for the past four years and hold Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Goal Coach and Positive Coaching Alliance Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons certifications.
As a competitor, I was the 2025 AAU Michigan State Champion for Power Hammer Blow in the 35–49 age division and became the AAU Michigan State Record Holder for Power Hammer Blow that same year. I’ve also had the opportunity to coach at 12 AAU State Championship Tournaments and four AAU National Championship Tournaments.
One of the things I enjoy most about coaching is helping transform athletes into sportsmen. I enjoy pushing athletes past their raw talent and helping them learn the importance of teamwork, integrity, and responsibility along the way.
